Yellow Submarine — Shave Dad × Hendrix Classics & Co.
A Beatles-inspired drop, made in Nashville
Yellow Submarine was a three-way collaboration between Shave Dad, The Wet Shaving Store, and Nashville-based artisan** Hendrix Classics & Co.** (HC&C). Released April 16, 2024, the 4 oz soap leaned into the bright, optimistic energy of its namesake — a fragrance built around sliced citrus and clean ocean air, designed to feel modern rather than nostalgic.
Scent
The TWSS product page describes the fragrance as “freshly sliced citrus fruits, complemented by the clean, ozonic freshness of the sea breeze” — a profile that opens with lemon and orange and settles into something closer to a contemporary aquatic cologne than a traditional shave soap. HC&C’s product copy frames it as an uplifting daily driver: a lather you reach for when you want the room to feel a little brighter.
Why it mattered
HC&C is one of the smaller artisan houses Shave Dad has worked with, and Yellow Submarine sat alongside the SUITS release in the same April 2024 drop window. Both were sold through TWSS but built on different artisan formulas — SUITS on Azalea City Suds’ base, Yellow Submarine on HC&C’s cocoa-and-kokum-butter formula made in Nashville.
