Ariana & Evans Nero e Rosso
Peter, founder of Ariana & Evans, just announced Nero e Rosso as the next entry in the Daniele Maullu Collection - a line built around a collaboration with Daniele Maullu, a Roman barber whose sensibility has shaped the collection’s direction. Of every scent Peter has released, he describes Nero e Rosso as his best work, noting that it surprised him in ways he didn’t anticipate during development.
The name translates to Black and Red in Italian, and the scent profile makes that clear.
Scent Profile
Black Leather, Black Tobacco, Oud, Hint of Strawberry, Osmanthus, Toasted Cocoa, Birch Tar, Ho Wood, Virginia Cedarwood
This is a dark, resinous scent built on black leather and tobacco. Birch tar and oud push both deeper into smoky, woody territory. Virginia cedarwood and ho wood sit underneath, providing that dry structural backbone. Then osmanthus and a hint of strawberry cut through the heavier elements - just enough to soften the edges and add dimension without steering toward fruity or sweet. Toasted cocoa ties it all together without pulling into gourmand.
This feels like a cold-weather rotation scent, the kind you reach for when you’re grabbing leather and tobacco soaps rather than citrus or aquatics.

What Members Are Saying
The thread reaction has been enthusiastic. One member who’s already experienced it says it’s a contender for Scent of the Year.
The benchmark being invoked in the conversation is Khalifa, one of A&E’s most widely praised scents, which frames the anticipation well.

At the time of the announcement, Peter noted the release was waiting on custom packaging - boxes and labels.
