Italian Shave Wednesday: The Antica Barberia Titan Set

Good morning, good afternoon, good evening, whenever and wherever you’re watching this. It’s me, your friendly neighborhood deacon, Deacon Gene. And like I promised, I got you another Italian Shave Wednesday video out, even though it looks like I’m in my usual cave. I’m actually at a secret location I’m not going to name. Tech issues and my retreat schedule pushed this one back, but here it is, and it was worth the wait.
Hump day. Italian-made products, a little talking, a little shaving. I’m keeping this one relatively quick in this shave because I’ve got things to take care of.
What I’m Shaving With

I already took care of two of the three S’s before I even started rolling. Water’s next.
For the lather, I’m using my Razorock ceramic bowl and my Titan brush from Antica Barberia. Look at that lather. Beautiful. Razor’s the matching Titan from Antica Barberia too, loaded with a Fatip blade.
I’ve got the matching after-shave splash ready to go, the original talc version. There’s some spice in it. I’ll put the scent notes in the description below.
For cologne, Clean Cut by Barrett. It’s a clean, modern barbershop-type scent. Not the heavy, overly powdery old-school stuff. This has a clean, modern edge to it, and I like it. Pretty good stuff.

The Shave
Antica Barberia sent me this whole set, the Titan hardware and the original talc softgoods, to help promote the line and Italian Shave Wednesday. Perfect lineup for it. If you don’t have it, go get it. I like it. And if you get it and you don’t like it, send it my way. I’ll take it off your hands.
First pass done, and it’s pretty good. Just needed a little cleanup here and there, which is normal. With lather like this, you can go back in for a cleanup pass without reapplying and it still smells good. I like to reapply anyway.

No nicks. Didn’t need the alum block. We’re not bleeding.
Finishing Up
Shook up the after-shave splash, big alcohol content on this one. Feels good though, I’ll tell you that. A couple spritzes of the Clean Cut and that’s the shave.

Approved. Antica Barberia original talc, made in Italy, matching splash, Razorock bowl, Titan brush, and the Titan razor. That’s the lineup.
If shaving isn’t one of the most exhilarating parts of your day, you might be doing something wrong. Be good to yourselves and to each other. I’ll say a prayer for you during vespers. Have a good day and smooth shaves. Ciao for now, gentlemen. Keep it smooth.
