America turns 250 this year, and The Cajun Blade isn’t letting it pass without notice. “Defending Liberty” drops June 6 - D-Day - built in collaboration with Drew, a Marine veteran and friend of the brand. The timing isn’t an accident. Jerry brought it to the group with a giveaway, and the thread took off fast.

Defending Liberty Soap and Splash.

Scent profile, per the maker:

Top: Bergamot, Peach, Black Pepper Middle: Bourbon, Vanilla, Amber Base: Tobacco, Smoke, Cedarwood, Musk

Citrus and peach up top isn’t the most obvious move for a release like this, but black pepper keeps it from going soft. The middle runs bourbon and vanilla over amber - sweet, but not candy-sweet. Then the base drops into tobacco, smoke, cedarwood, and musk. The Cajun Blade describes it as “bold, grounded, warm, smoky, slightly sweet, and refined,” designed to have presence without going loud. On paper this could lean dry and resinous if the smoke sits forward, or warmer and rounder if the bourbon and vanilla carry through from the heart. Hard to say until it’s in front of people.

If you’ve already got a tobacco soap you reach for, this one reads differently. The bergamot and peach up top pull it away from straight pipe smoke - closer to bourbon on the porch at dusk than corner barbershop. If that lane sounds right to you, put June 6 on the calendar.

The collab itself has real weight behind it. Drew’s involvement means this was designed around an actual story, not just a name on a label.

Giveaway is live now in Jerry’s post. Comment “Defending Liberty” to enter. CONUS only, winner picked at random.

Expected release: June 6 at thecajunbladestore.com. Price and run size weren’t mentioned in the thread, so watch the post for details as the drop gets closer.
