Shave Dad Is Closing In on 5,000 Members

Jerry dropped a quick note to the group Sunday night: Shave Dad is closing in on 5,000 members.

The number is sitting around 4,900 right now, and his ask to the group’s YouTubers was simple. Mention us once in a while. Not a paid arrangement, not a formal sponsorship deal. Just drop a “hey, check out this group” somewhere in your next video.

The response came fast. Larry, Westley, Glenn, and a few others said they’d do it. Robert was already thinking about which week’s video to work it into. Damon had just posted his video for the day. His take:

That’s how you know the ask landed right. Nobody groaned.

The comment worth reading, though, was Daniel’s:

A guy goes through a beard phase, stops shaving for a stretch, and the group keeps him in anyway. He finds his way back, and it’s the same people, same energy. That’s harder to build than a member count.

Chris asking “There’s a YouTube channel?” in the comments was a good laugh. It points to how quietly this community has grown. No aggressive promo, no big push. People just kept finding each other.

Jerry’s had a featured section dedicated to wet shaving YouTubers for a while now. The group already shows up for those creators. All he’s asking is for some of that to come back around, a mention here and there to help more wet shavers find the place.
