Arko Shave Stick Stories by Sig Solo

Hello, I’m Sig Solo! Welcome to my channel and welcome to Shave Stick Stories Chapter 1. Today’s shave stick is the Arko shave stick all the way from Turkey. It costs $2 to $5, and I paid $4 for it. This is the first of the shave sticks I will be reviewing every Saturday. I have two criteria for each shave stick – it can only cost a maximum of $10, and it must be made specifically for shaving. I will be evaluating them based on the five S’s: simplicity of use, scent (my personal opinion), scent strength, slickness, and skin feel during and after. The final max score is 25; 1 -5 for each category. In the picture, you may see that I have 20 shave sticks and two more coming in from Muhle, Germany. I will be using my Greenlandic Soaker and a synthetic cashmere knot brush in most of the shaves.

I am not a face latherer, so I will not be demonstrating how to do that. Let’s begin by wetting the face and applying the soap. The soap has a nice citrusy smell. It foams up easily, and the simplicity of use is a five. I then use an Indian-made razor with a stainless steel blade. The Arko shave stick is made with tallow, which gives it a nice slick feel. The scent of the soap is a three, and the slickness is a four. The skin feels good after using it. The final score for this shave stick is a 19 out of 25.
