- Search like a wet shaver. “Shaving soap” alone pulls in bath bars. Add the words a real shaving soap lists, like tallow, lather or puck, or search for a shop by name.
- Read the base. Makers usually say what their soap is built on, whether a tallow base, a vegan recipe or something in between, and many name their base outright, like KiNG II or TACL above.
- Weigh stars against reviews. A 5.0 from 40 reviews and a 4.9 from 8,000 tell you different things. Newer shops earn their numbers one order at a time, and the community shops above are worth a look anyway.
- Expect small batches. One-person shops sell out of a scent or a one-off brush and restock on their own schedule. Favoriting a shop is the easiest way to see new releases.
